1. It is better for college students to live in schools than live at home with their parents. Do you agree or disagree? (11/2/2017)
Many students are faced with the dilemma of whether to live in a university dormitory or at home with their parents. From my perspective, a dormitory is evidently the better option for most students.

2. Many people think modern communication technology is having some negative effects on social relationships. Do you agree or disagree? (16/2/2017)
The impacts of digital communication on human relationships have long been a topic of controversy. From my perspective, modern means of communication may sabotage one’s relationships with other people.

3. Do you agree or disagree with the statement that government should invest more money in science education rather than other subjects to develop the country? (18/2/2017)
Establishing an appropriate national education framework is of paramount importance to the development of any country. It is often believed that science subjects should attract more investment than other disciplines. However, I strongly disagree with this belief, because there are many subjects that are equally as important as science, or even more so.

4. Some people think international car-free days are an effective way of reducing air pollution, others think there are some other ways. Discuss both views and give your own opinion. (25/2/2017)
The ubiquity of cars is often considered as a major culprit of air quality degradation in many countries. To combat atmospheric pollution, many suggest that car-free days should be held internationally. However, I contend that these events may achieve extremely little success, and there are more effective methods to preserve the atmosphere.

5. Some people think that developing countries need financial help from international organizations. Others think that it is practical aid and advice that is needed. Discuss these views and give your own opinion. (4/3/2017)
The support of the international community is of paramount importance to the development of less-developed parts of the world. Some people believe that funded support is indispensable. However, I contend that international funds are not necessary for development while technical assistance is evidently a more effective way of helping developing countries.

6. Some people think that governments should ban dangerous sports, while others think people should have freedom to do any sports or activity. Discuss both views and give your own opinion. (18/3/2017)
The media commonly provide a barrage of news about dangerous sports, because the deaths and injuries associated with them often make for spectacular headlines. As a result, some people have claimed that all extreme sports should be banned, although I would argue that such a policy would be out of all proportion to the real risks involved.

7. The best way to solve world's environmental problems is increase the cost of fuel. Do you agree or disagree? (25/3/2017)
Addressing environmental problems has long been of paramount importance to the sustainable development of society. While acquiescing to the view that raising the price of fuel may help combat the problem of global warming, I contend that this policy is far from being the best remedy to ameliorate the deterioration of the environment in general.

8. Consumers are faced with increasing numbers of advertisements from competing companies. To what extent do you think are consumers influenced by advertisements? What measures can be taken to protect them? (8/4/2017)
Recently, commercial advertisements have proliferated in a variety of television channels, newspapers, magazines and websites, as a result of fierce competition in the market. I would contend that these advertisements may have a negative impact on their audience as people start to purchase unnecessary products. To prevent this from happening, I believe the authorities must take some definite actions, such as exercising stricter censorship on all forms of advertising.

9. Scientists say that in the future humanity will speak the same language. Do you think this is a positive or negative social development? (28/4/2017)
Learning languages is of paramount importance to the sustainable development of the international community. Many people argue that one language will be used as an international language in the future. I contend that such a development would have many advantages.

10. Parents often give children everything they ask for and do what they like. Is it good for children? What are the consequences when they grow up? (25/5/2017)

Indulging children has been a common parenting problem in many modern families. From my perspective, this practice exerts some immediate adverse impacts on children and also results in long-term consequences for them.
