Idioms thường xuất hiện trong IELTS speaking part 3

Trong IELTS speaking part 3 các bạn sẽ nhận được một chủ đề nào đó về xã hội và bạn cần phải nêu ra quan điểm về chủ đề đó. Bởi đó là chủ đề xã hội nên việc các bạn dùng đến Idioms mà thường có tiếng Anh là rất có khả năng. Do đó, ở bài viết này mình dẫn dắt mọi người đến một số Idioms mà trong giao tiếp tiếng Anh hằng ngày mà người bản xứ hay dùng nhé!

Idiom – Put One’s Cards On The Table

Ví dụ:

• I thought it was time I laid my cards on the table, so I told her that I had no intention of being her lover.
• I think we shouldlay our cards on the table and speak very candidly about this matter.

Idiom – Eat The Humble Pie

Idiom: Pie In The Sky

Ví dụ:

• My dreams of becoming an English teacher are just a pie in the sky
• Myplans to set up my own business are just pie in the sky.

Idiom: Spoon-Feed Someone

Definition: To do so much for someone that they do not need to make any effort of their own.

Ví dụ:

• Some IELTS teachers spoon-feed the students by dictating notes on the books instead of getting their students to read the books.
• It is highly debatable whether newspaper should spoon-feed the readers with the content on the front pages.
